Tenor Rodell Rosel joined Andris Nelsons and the Boston Symphony Orchestra for Tanglewood’s first complete performance of Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro on August 1. Directed by James Darrah Black, the concert featured Rosel as the meddlesome music master Don Basilio.
“A superficially comical yet subtly dreadful Basilio (Rodell Rosel), brilliantly embodying the timeless busy body, reminded us that habits of mindless gossip have real consequences.”
