Hacker’s inaugural season with the famed opera house in Munich begins with Verdi’s Falstaff alongside Bryn Terfel as Shakespeare’s loveable buffoon. Further productions include Carmen, Le nozze di Figaro, The Abduction from the Seraglio, Les Troyens, Tristan und Isolde, and a new production of A Cunning Little Vixen.
Recent performances include appearances with Des Moines Metro Opera, Berkshire Opera Festival, and his debut with Oper Köln as Tamino in Die Zauberflöte. Performances lost to the COVID-19 pandemic include debuts with Theater St. Gallen (Lessons in Love and Violence), The Metropolitan Opera (Fidelio), Lyric Opera of Chicago (Lessons in Love and Violence) and debuts with San Francisco Symphony and Houston Symphony Orchestra.
